step 1
Watch the video
The video will guide you through the basics of climbing unsupervised safely.
A novice is an individual irrespective of age who cannot independently manage the risks of participation for themselves or others, be that due to a lack of competence or knowledge, or a lack of ability to be held responsible for their actions.

step 2
Check competency
If you’re not feeling confident after watching the video, don’t worry! We offer inductions that are conducted by our experienced team members. These inductions are designed to give you a better understanding of bouldering safety, grading of routes, route reading, basic technique, and navigating the centre safely.
Our inductions usually take between 15 to 30 minutes and can be booked online. If you’re coming with a group, please remember that bookings are for the time slot, not the number of participants. So once you select a time slot, you’ll be asked to specify the number of attendees.
- Inductions cover falling safely, grading of routes, route reading, basic technique, and navigating the centre safely.
- Bookings are for the time slot, not the number of participants.
- Please note that we do not offer refunds on bookings.
