Youth Climbing Series at Fenrock
We’re proud to be hosting Round 1 of the BMC Youth Climbing Series (YCS) 2025 here at Fenrock.
2025 Dates – London & South East North Region
- Round 1 – Boulder: Fenrock, 13 September
- Round 2 – Roped: Big Rock Hub, 4 October
- Round 3 – Boulder: Stronghold Tottenham, 18 October
- Round 4 – Roped: The Westway Climbing Centre, 1 November
Registration opens 28 July at 9am and closes 1 September.
Entries must be made through your National Governing Body (BMC, Mountaineering Scotland or Mountaineering Ireland).
About the Youth Climbing Series
The YCS is the UK’s biggest youth climbing competition, open to climbers from U11 to U19. It welcomes everyone, from first-time competitors to experienced athletes, and attracts hundreds of young climbers nationwide.
Each region runs four rounds (two boulder, two roped). Competitors’ best three results count towards their overall ranking. The top three climbers in each category qualify for the two-day Grand Final, where they’ll compete alongside the best from every UK and Irish region.

Who can enter? Open to young climbers aged U11–U19. First-time and experienced competitors welcome.

Where do I enter? Through your NGB (BMC, Mountaineering Scotland, or Mountaineering Ireland).

Grand Final: Invite-only, for the top three in each category from every region. U11 are not eligible for the final.

Entry rules: Competitors must enter the rounds in their home nation and region. If a region is full, a waiting list system applies.
